Highlights ofBJP National Executive Meet in Gauhati

vTwo Hundred and Thirty four Executive members from Lakshadvip and

Andaman up to
Jammu and Kashmir participated in the two day session.

vThere was a mood of success due to the victory in Bihar and successive local

body elections in different states. NDA registered a historic electoral success
by winning 206 out of 243 seats in Bihar assembly. This is 4/5th of
the house
and exactly 84.77% of all seats. BJP alone won 91 out of 102 seats contested
giving a strike rate of 90 % out of 51 Muslim dominated assembly segments,
BJP-JD (U) combine won 40 seats of these, 27 were won by BJP alone.

vMany of BJP State units have achieved remarkable success in different

elections. In Jammu and Kashmir, in the elections for Laddakh
Autonomous region,
for the first time BJP have a representation with five candidates emerging
Victorious. In Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, people have shown their
faith in a big way in the BJP in local elections.

vIn Kerala also BJP have increased the tally in local election. There was sense

of satisfaction over noteworthy electoral success achieved by the BJP units in
Karanataka and Himachal Pradesh as well as Andaman Nicobar and Dadara Nagar
Havelli.

vThe message was very clear that the BJP is marching ahead and it just can not

afford to be complacent. It is a nice coincidence. The executive meet
took place
in Gauhati, on the banks of the mighty river Brahmaputra with the blessings of
Ma Kamakhya. Assam, from times immemorial, it was called as the legendary land
of Pragjyotishpur. It gave new hopes and fresh thoughts for further victory.

vThe year 2011, marks the completion of sixty years of political Journey since

1951, when Bharatiya Jana Sangh was formed. The thought given by Dr Shyama
Prasad Mookerjee and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, the principles of organizational
functioning laid down by them and the sacrifices of the leaders and followers
are the point of inspiration even today.

vParty President, Nitin Gadkari, made an appeal to observe 21st October, the

foundation day of Jan Sangh as a day of gratitude. He made an appeal to all the
State Units to organise Grand felicitation to those who are working with the
ideological goal since 1951. They laid the foundation of BJP and gave a solid
organizational Base that enabled the followers to travel this long.

vMembers were happy about the historic ruling on Ram Janma Bhoomi. All people

welcomed the Judgement. They wanted that all sections of the society will help
make a grand Ram Mandir at Ayodhya in the near future.

vAn aggressive stand is taken by arranging an yatra from Kolkotta to Kashmir to

hoist the tri color National flag at lal Chowk on 26th January 2011 in Srinagar
by BJP Youth wing leader Anurag Thakur.

v Suaraj Sankalp Pradarshni was opened to the people of Assam to know, what BJP
means by good governance. Thousands of people visited exhibition pertaining to
some highly successful development and welfare schemes of BJP governments in
different states.

vPeople congratulated Madhya Pradesh Government for their introducing the Lok

Sewa Gaurantee Act. This is an act that makes speedy disposal of cases pending
before any Govt. functionary as for completion of every work. This act has
provided a stipulated time frame. If the work is not completed within
the period
he or she has to pay some compension through their salaries.

vPrabodhan and Prashikshan are given importance by the party. In the last one

year, about 15000 new people are trained in different States in the primary
level.

vParty plans to contact, motivate and try to solve the problems of 42 crores

unorganized labourers in various sectors by forming Asanghatit Kamgar Mahasangh.

vCoastal line and fisher men problems will be taken up more seriously in the
near future.

vNew head quarters of the party is being given the final shape. It will house

central office, a Research development and a Training centre

vNitin Gadkari directly attacked UPA II as a Kingdom of corruption. While

looters were emptying the government coffers, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was
standing guard with his eyes closed and his hands tied.

vNitin Gadkari raised an important question to the so called clean Prime

Minister Mr. Man Manmohan Singh. Why he went a head with the appointment of the
present Chief Vigilance Commissioner overruling the objections raised by the
Leader of Opposition. If P. M. is so clean and honest, then who gave the
pressure to him to appoint corrupt P. J. Thomas as CVC. It becomes clear that
his hands are tied. He has closed his eyes. He is acting on behalf of somebody
who makes Mr. Thomas as CVC.

vGadkari said the government was raising the bogey of Hindu Terror to distract

public attaantiion from Bofors and 2 G Scams. Digvijay Singh is speaking with
the directions of Sonia Gandhi.

vNitin Gadkari said it was a diversionary tactic that the issue of saffron

terror was being taken up. There are elements with in ruling party who hobnob
with the naxals, pamper those who see INDIA, as an encroacher in Jammu and
Kashmir and try to play with the sensibilities of the majority community by
blowing up the threat of peripheral groups to rake up the so called Hindu
terrorism.

vNitin Gadkari quoted shakespeares Hamlet where Marcellus tells Horatio, “There

is something rotten in the State of Denmark” while talking about price rise and
soaring food inflation. Similarly there was something rotten in the UPA regime.
Earlier, in spite of the Supreme Court reprimand, this UPA Government allowed
food grains to rot and refused to distribute them to the hungry. They allow
imported Onions to decompose and perish while the aam admi is deprived of them
even at a reasonable price. There is a lack of seriousness in dealing with the
price rise which is affecting common man particularly house wives seriously.

vOn 9th evening there was a huge rally in an open ground. BJP sharpened its

attack on Sonia Gandhi primarily on the issue of corruption and price rise.
Leaders spoke at length, how Bofors pay offs trail leads directly to the door
step of Sonia Gandhi. They gave a call to the people of poll abound Assam to
root out the Congress from power.

vAdvani said that UPA Government has become unpopular. The series of electoral

defeats by the Congress is a testimony to the people’s growing disenchantment
with the principal ruling family and its leadership. L. K. Advani said that the
Income Tax Tribunal had pointed out Quattrocchi had taken commission
from Bofors
and be taxed accordingly. People know that Sonia Gandhi had a close association
with Italian businessman Quattrocchi who was a regular visitor at her house. He
appealed to the Prime Minister to either protest or order further investigation.

vArun Jaitely said that massive corruption charges including the 2G

Spectrum and
CWG, the Congress has no place to hide their face.
